1. Conditions for returning goods for an online order via the DISTRICT website

  • You have the right to refuse to receive the goods you ordered for purchase without owing compensation or a penalty and without stating a reason for your refusal.

1.1. Exchange of size or item

You have the right to exchange the size or the item that is part of your original order within 30 days of receiving it. The exchange can be carried out only on-site in a DISTRICT store and only for an item available in that store.

Important:

  • The exchange can be carried out in any DISTRICT store. Full list of our stores.
  • If you received a gift with a particular item and decide to return or exchange the product in our store, the following conditions apply:
    • If you exchange the product for the same model in a different size or color, you keep the gift.
    • If you exchange the product for another item of the same or higher value (you pay the difference), provided that this other item is offered with a gift, you keep the gift.
    • If you exchange the product for another item of the same or higher value (you pay the difference), but this item is not offered with a gift, you must return the gift.
    • If you do not return the gift or it is in poor condition, you must pay its value.

1.2. Returning items received from an online order

You have the right to return items received via an online order within 30 days, without stating a reason and without owing compensation or a penalty. Free returns apply only to clothing, footwear, and accessories. DISTRICT refunds all amounts received from you, including delivery costs.

  • Free return is offered for:
    • clothing,
    • footwear,
    • accessories (backpacks, bags and wallets, duffel bags, socks, hats, scarves and gloves, belts, and glasses).

Important conditions:

  • The return is at DISTRICT’s expense.
  • It is mandatory to use the courier companies SPEEDY, ECONT, EVROPAT or the BOX NOW service.
  • Using an arbitrarily chosen courier is not permitted.

Return conditions:

  • The parcel must be accompanied by a completed return form.

  • The goods must be:
    • unused,
    • in good commercial condition,
    • with original packaging and labels,
    • accompanied by the original documents (invoice and warranty card, if such has been issued).
  • The parcel must be:
    • accompanied by a completed return form,
    • packed in an envelope of the respective courier company or other sturdy polyethylene packaging, with the return documents (waybill, etc.) affixed to it,
    • without any adhesive materials (tape, waybills, etc.) stuck directly onto the original packaging (box or envelope).
  • When the return is at DISTRICT’s expense, it must mandatorily be carried out with the courier companies SPEEDY, ECONT or EVROPAT, and for clothing, footwear and accessories (backpacks, bags and wallets, duffel bags, socks, hats, scarves, gloves, belts and glasses) – also with the BOX NOW service. Using an arbitrarily chosen courier is not allowed.

1.2.2. Return in store:

  • You can return the items received in any DISTRICT store.

The return and refund are permitted upon compliance with all the conditions described above.

Important:

If you received a gift with your purchase, when returning the main product you must also return the gift. If the gift is not returned or is in compromised condition, the value of the gift will be deducted when refunding the product amount.


2. Conditions for exchanging goods purchased in DISTRICT physical stores

  • Goods purchased on-site in a store and without defect are not subject to return, only to exchange.
  • An exchange can be made within 30 days from the date of purchase.
  • Please note that for hygiene and health reasons, you cannot return products from the underwear and swimwear categories. The restriction applies to bikini bottoms, underwear, and one-piece swimsuits.

2.1. Requirements for the goods upon exchange:

  • You must provide the proof of purchase.
  • The goods must be in good commercial condition.
  • The goods must have all the labels with which they were purchased.
  • The goods must be in the original packaging, which must not have any damage.

2.2. Exchange options:

  • Exchange for the same model item (e.g., a different size or color).
  • Exchange for another item of the same or higher value (by paying the difference).
  • Refund of the paid amount in the form of a voucher (GIFT CARD).

Recommendation:

When buying shoes, we recommend putting them on at home and wearing them for 15–20 minutes. This will help you determine whether the chosen model and size are suitable while keeping the shoes in commercial condition for a possible exchange.

2.3. Conditions for gifts received upon purchase:

  • If you received a gift with your purchase and decide to return or exchange the product, the following conditions apply:
    • If the product is exchanged for the same model (a different size or color), you keep the gift.
    • If the product is exchanged for another item of the same or higher value (by paying the difference) and that item is offered with the same gift, you keep the gift.
    • If the product is exchanged for another item of the same or higher value, but no such gift is offered with it, you must return the gift.
    • If the gift is not returned or is in compromised condition, you pay the value of the gift.
  • When refunding the amount in the form of a GIFT card, you must return the gift. If you do not return it or it is in compromised condition, the value of the gift will be deducted from the refunded amount.

4.1. For online payment of a Click&Collect order

(when the payment is made through the website by debit/credit card or bank transfer)

  • You have the right within 30 days, without owing compensation or a penalty and without stating a reason, to return the received items.
  • The amount for the returned items can be refunded:
    • on-site in the store (in cash at the register)
    • or by a transfer to the payment instrument used for the payment.
  • You have the right to make an exchange for the same model item (e.g., a different size or color) on-site in the store.
  • You have the right to exchange the item for another one with the same or higher value (by paying the difference) on-site in the store.

5. Refunds

If the online order was paid in cash or by card, you can return the item to a physical DISTRICT or SPORT DEPOT store and receive your money back immediately at the register.

If the order was paid partially or entirely with a voucher, the value of the voucher will be refunded in the form of a new voucher. You can receive the remaining amount in cash at the register.

Refunds can be made in all DISTRICT or SPORT DEPOT stores, except for the stores in Sliven, Kardzhali, Kazanlak, Borovets, and Bansko. Full list of our stores.

If there is not enough cash available at the store at the time of your visit, we may not be able to refund the amount in cash immediately. Therefore, we recommend visiting the store in the afternoon.

5.2. Refund to card or bank account

  • If you paid by bank card, you can receive the amount back to the same card via a credit transaction after completing a return form.

If for any reason the refund is not successful, we will notify you so that you can provide a bank account in your name for the refund.

  • If you paid the courier upon delivery (cash on delivery), you can receive the amount to your bank account after completing a return form.

The request must include:

    • your full name as per ID;
    • a bank account to which the amount should be transferred.
  • If you prefer, you can receive the amount via a postal money order.

For this purpose, you must complete a return form by providing:

    • your full name as per ID;
    • an exact address (city, postal code, street/block).
  • If you wish, we can refund the amount for the returned products in the form of a voucher for online shopping in our store. The voucher will be sent to the email used to place the order. This option must be explicitly indicated in the return form.

5.3. Refunds when using a voucher or GIFT card

  • If the entire amount of the order was paid with a voucher, when products are returned the amount will be refunded in the form of a voucher.
  • If the value of the voucher is greater than the value of the returned products, the amount is refunded in the form of a voucher.
  • If the value of the voucher is lower, the value of the voucher is refunded, and the remaining amount is refunded in the manner in which the payment was made:
    • for card payment – to the same card;
    • for cash payment – to a bank account specified by the customer or by postal money order.

6. Timeframe for refunding amounts paid by card or cash on delivery

  • According to the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, DISTRICT refunds the amount paid within 14 calendar days from the date on which you exercised your right of return.
  • The start date for this period is the date on which DISTRICT received the returned goods.
  • DISTRICT is not responsible for:
    • incorrectly completed data during registration or in the return forms,
    • delays caused by courier companies, which may lead to an extension of the refund period or other inconveniences for you.

Important:

  • We do not offer a „Product exchange“ service for online orders via courier.
  • You can return the goods and receive a refund of the amount paid.
  • If you wish to purchase a new product, you must place a new order through our website or mobile app.
  • We offer the option to exchange a product from an online order on-site in a store – but only for a product that is available in the respective store.
  • The following categories of goods are not subject to return:
    • Products from the underwear and swimwear categories – for hygiene and health reasons. The restriction applies to bikini bottoms, underwear, and one-piece swimsuits.

8. The „Inspection“ service upon receiving a shipment with Econt

When receiving a shipment with Econt, you can use the „Inspection“ service.

This service applies to shipments delivered both to an Econt office and to an address.

With the „Inspection“ service, you can open and inspect the contents of the shipment (without trying it on) for up to 15 minutes.

When „Inspection“ is allowed, the Econt employee opens the shipment in your presence so that you can make sure that the contents match what was ordered and that there are no defects. Trying on or testing the product is not allowed.

Important conditions:

  • Before inspecting the shipment, you must pay the fee for return shipping (if you return the shipment).
  • If you accept the shipment after the inspection, the Econt employee will refund the return shipping fee.
  • If you refuse to accept the shipment after the inspection, the return shipping costs remain at your expense.

Exceptions:

In the following cases, the return shipping costs are borne by DISTRICT:

  • the goods received clearly do not correspond to the ones ordered;
  • the error is the fault of DISTRICT (for example: wrong size, color, or item).

In these cases, DISTRICT will also refund the return shipping costs after the returned goods are received back in commercial condition.
